Platinum
Stars will play their penultimate home league game of the 2012/13 season when
they host Maritzburg United at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Wednesday,
May 1.
It
is the final match before Dikwena play their Nedbank Cup semifinal against
SuperSport United on May 8 and with the chance of winning a league and cup
‘Double’ still alive, Cavin Johnson’s men will go all out for victory.
The
club is appealing to the people of the North West province to get behind the
side as they enter the final stretch of the campaign.
“Maritzburg
United are a very good side and it will be a tough game for the boys, but they
are playing at our ‘slaughterhouse’ and we are confident of picking up another
three points as we chase an historic ‘Double’ this season,” says Platinum Stars
Supporters’ Co-coordinator & Media Relations head Aubrey Molobi.
Tickets
for the match go on sale from Saturday, April 27 and are available at the
following outlets: Lucky’s Pub and Mmamotho Fela Restaurant in Phokeng, Kedase
Lodge in Rasimone and Mickey Geo’s Restaurant in Rustenburg.
Tickets
are priced at R40 for adults and R20 for children under the age of 12.
Dikwena
have also announced some other exciting benefits for fans, including a
reduction in the price of replica jerseys.
“As
part of giving back to our supporters, we have discounted our replica jerseys
from R350 to R250 on a first come, first serve basis while stocks last,” Molobi
confirms. “We further request our people to wear their Platinum Stars t-shirts
or replica jerseys on Friday to pledge their support for our Platinum Stars
Football Friday campaign.”
The
Platinum Stars Football Friday will kick-start on this week at the Bafokeng
Shopping Centre, where replica jerseys will be on sale. Those who buy on that
day will get a complimentary ticket for the Mariztburg United game.
The
club has also made a special concession price for VIP Hospitality tickets for
