What a weekend of World Class diski (Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic, Thanda Royal Zulu, and Free State Stars) and heartbreaks (Bay United, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Supersport United, Ajax Cape Town and Golden Arrows). The race is almost coming to an end and players are excelling to the finish line.
Depth in the squad is playing a key role with the teams. This weekend I was in Bloemfontein, Seisa Ramabodu Stadium, for a game between Celtic and Ajax.
Guys I have to applaud Masele fans, these fans love their team with passion. After the game they were there to motivate their players and tell them that they must never relax, but fight till the end.
I was doing a one-on-one interview with an exPSL player for the Diskioff blog and I was shocked when the player wanted me to buy him beers and lunch.
Of which I did cause it is a player I respect and love seeing on the field. He asked for everything even money for a taxi. It made me sad yet made me realize that its time our players start to equip themselves with education.
I mean guys like Georgios "George" Koumantarakis, Jimmy Rabaholo Tau, Marc Bachelor and etc are studying and really know that diski is a short career.
Big George is a qualified lawyer. I’m tired of players who think only of money, cars and ladies not life after diski.
Please good people be wise and invest in education and businesses! And guys please not taxi driving business all of you. To be continued....
There’s enough Diski in Mzansi
