This
affects Absa Premiership, National First Division and NFD Qualification
Competition fixtures until 15 December 2013.
The
PSL CEO, Brand de Villiers said: “Stadiums that were going to host some of our
fixtures have been confirmed as venues to host memorial services and other
gatherings to pay special respect to Madiba. We therefore took a decision that
due to logistical challenges faced by the League and the clubs, we should
postpone the fixtures scheduled for mid-week and the weekend,” De Villiers
said.
The
PSL CEO, however, confirmed that Absa Premiership fixtures will resume on
Monday, 16 December 2013.
