What’s wrong with the Premier Soccer League?

Written By Unknown on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 | Tuesday, August 13, 2013

I cannot believe the PSL (Premier Soccer League), knowing that both Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are in the semis (MTN8), they schedule a semi-final clash for midweek, or did they not think the two could draw each other?

Did they think they would avoid each other and hopefully meet in the finals? Both clubs are on fire at the moment and apart from this being a recipe for a potential disaster; it's being unfair to supporters of both clubs who will be travelling after work, from places afar, from most provinces of the country! End result is panic, rushing, pushing and intolerance at ticket booths, body search points and stadium pavilion entry points.

The Ngoepe Commission resolved clearly that at no point should these two play such a mouth watering clash on a Wednesday evening, as this was another big factor contributing to the dreadful Ellis Park Disaster of April 11, 2001. Now what are we doing???

Can, somebody knock some sense into Dereck Blanckense and his colleagues at the PSL about risks associated with staging such a game midweek, at night, nogal!!!!!
