Bafana
Bafana head coach Gordon Igesund has made major changes to the Cosafa Cup squad
that he initially announced last Thursday (27 June 2013).
Igesund
has struck a balance between youth and experience for the tournament.
The
Bafana Bafana mentor has added players like Buhle Mkhwanazi of Tuks, Sibusiso
Khumalo of Mamelodi Sundowns and William Thwala of Chippa United. He has also
included Lehlohonolo Nonyane of Jomo Cosmos.
There
are also recalls for Lance Davids of Ajax Cape Town, Siyabonga Mpontshane of
Platinum Stars and Lerato Chabangu of Moroka Swallows.
Igesund
was also not able to get the services of the likes of Sibusiso Vilakazi of
Bidvest Wits, Ramahlwe Mphahlele of Mamelodi Sundowns, Thanduyise Khuboni of
Golden Arrows, Granwald Scott of Ajax Cape Town and Letladi Madubanya of
Amazulu.
The
squad assembles on Wednesday, 10 July 2013.
Bafana
Bafana will fly to Lusaka on the same day, and will play their first match on
Saturday, 13 July.
