Gauteng East play their Sanlam Kay Motsepe Schools Cup Cluster finals

Gauteng Province East will be playing their Sanlam Kay Motsepe Schools Cup Cluster finals on Friday, 17 May, 2013, at the Ntokozweni 2010 Legacy Ground  (Kwa Thema) starting at 11h00 with the final at 15h30. Four teams will be competing for a chance to go on to play in the District Finals and then the Provincial finals.

SASFA Gauteng East coordinator, Mr Mfaniseni Kunene, believes that their cluster could well produce the team that will go on to represent Gauteng in the National Finals happening later in the year. 

“We have good teams in our area, for example the 2012 Cluster champs, Thandi Sibeko High.  Last year they went on to play in the inter-districts and they will be playing in the final tomorrow.  I have been watching them and believe they have a good game plan with players with the ability to carry through.”

Past winners: 

2010:  Buhlebemfundo Secondary  School won and went on to play at Provincial level,  

2011:  Dr Harry Gwala High School won at cluster level.

2012:  Thandi Sibeko High School
