Irvin Khoza: With all due respect
that I have for Lt. Gen. Dr Irvin 'The Iron Duke' Khoza, I must admit without
fear or favor that the man made the biggest blander of his life by letting Ruud
Krol leave Orlando Pirates. Now that he has been deployed to govern the AFCON
committee, we are yet to suffer more set-backs as he will limit his time with
the Nedback Outgoing Champions. The big question is always: What is Khoza thinking?
Julio Leal: The man agreed to
join Pirates knowing the challenges he will face and knowing he won't be able
to face them. As we have 2Cup this Season already, it goes without saying that
he succeeded with his predecessor's Assets. He doesn't have a proven successful
record in Soccer, he is arrogant and 'too soft' at the same time. Typically not
Pirates material.
Ruud Krol: He wasn't fired, as
Khoza will tell you: "His contract was just not renewed because he doesn't
play entertaining football". That's what Iron Duke said after Krol gave us
a remarkable Triple that is unlikely to happen this Season. It might have taken
him 3 Seasons to win something for us but after changing coaches like 10times,
at-least he did. Khoza should have thought of Continuity for our team and kept
the Orange-Shirted Dutch-man. The fact is Krol is the greatest coaches Pirates
has ever had. He Must Come Back!!!
Augusto “Njenje”
Palacios:
He is one of the best, if not the best in Development Football. But coaching in
the PSL is a different story. I am sorry but Njenje is 'clueless' sometimes. He
plays a too defensive type of game for no reason. If Kaizer Chiefs were a story
side on the 17th of March 2012 they
would have drawn or won the derby all because of this dude's type of play. His
substitution is poor, how can you take Thandani Ntshumayelo out for Njabulo
Manqana and let Oupa Manyisa work overtime in the middle during Extra-time of a
Cup game? Tukelo Rantie is a proven goal-scorer but Eisssssh! Let this guy
coach the Buccaneers and I guarantee you: We are losing the PSL title as well.
Orlando Pirates
Players:
Their confusion is totally understandable, having 3 different Mentors and more
than for different assistance in a space of 9months is confusing. You can see
the guys are not organised because of different types of play they are required
to play. Of course they is now too much pride amongst our players because they
are being 'too pampered'. There is not hunger for success anymore. Quality
without discipline is nothing.
