Wow! What a match! Firstly it was great to see the number of Umlilo supporters who created an absolutely amazing atmosphere for the players.
Unfortunately no side won today, as Bloem Celtic and Bay Utd played to a 1 - 1 draw after some shocking refereeing decisions. Bloem Celtic opened the scoring after Umlilo were "judged" to have handled the ball (when i mean "judged" I mean that is what the LINESMAN thought he saw).
Fortunately Bay replied in injury time of the first period with a corner resulting in a goal for Gareth Ncaca. The second half saw end to end football being played but neither team being able to capitalize on their chances. Bay United did however look impressive under new Coach, Khabo Zondo, and it looks promising when one thinks of the injury list and some quality players who have not had their run yet.
Umlilo are still bottom of the log with 8 points - tied with Free State Stars and Siwelele themselves. Their next game is this weekend when they take on the Amakhosi at Loftus Stadium.
Watsha Umlilo!
