Orlando
Pirates coach Vladimir Vermezovic is focusing on the Nedbank Cup to salvage the
tattered pride after dull and lackadaisical performance this season.
Pirates
reached 3 consecutively cup finals including the lucrative CAF Champions
League, but lost all of them. The Pirates coach is confident that his team will
beat Mamelodi Sundowns as they are enjoying adequate 7 days of training coupled
with recuperating from congested PSL fixtures.
Pirates
has done well at Loftus Stadium in the past games and recently thumped Sundowns
in a league game at the same stadium through the lonely goal of Khethowakhe
Masuku. The coach is confident that the victory is imminent against the Premier
Soccer League (PSL) best team.
Speaking
at a press conference in Johannesburg on Thursday, Vermezovic said that his
team will do normal preparation without any special arrangement prior to their
clash against Sundowns. He further said that his boys are well motivated to
face the PSL best team of the moment.
The
coach said that the lackadaisical performance in the league games will not be
an important factor against Sundowns. His players are ready to cause an upset.
The coach believes that the 4th final this season will bring luck to the team.
