Ok...
now that the dust has settled a bit, here is my view. We are supporters of a
very big club (Orlando Pirates), not only in South Africa but Africa as well.
These kinds of things come with the package, we win big games and we lose big
games.
Big
teams in Europe go through this year in and year out, Chelsea went through this
when John Terry missed a penalty in the UEFA Champions League final, then Didier
Drogba won it for them a couple of years later. Arsenal lost it to Barcelona
with the best team Mr. Arsene Wenger ever assembled; it included the likes of Robert
Pires, Thierry Henry, William Gallas, Patrick Vieira, etc.
It
comes with the package. Fact of the matter is that there is only one team in South
Africa that can entertain and get the whole country talking about it for
months. That is the one thing most teams know they can never have, we wanted to
add a star while for most, and it’s only a dream to even have one.
Fact
is we are part of a generation that saw supporters along with a group of pro
football players and their technical staff along with the other members of the
team goes out and gives their all to inspire a whole nation.
Fact
is we are part of a generation that saw our team play in the most important
match in South Africa since the World Cup final in 2010. I don't know about you
but I'm thankful. Fact is that we will participate again in this CAF Champions
League and we will go all the way to the final again because that's who we are,
we can't help it, that's why we have haters.
On
that note, we have another 10-million to get in the Premier Soccer League,
let's support our boys the same way we did in the past few months.
Thank
you Ghost!
