marks their final home match of 2012 on Saturday (kick-off 20:15).
The
fixture at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace will be an excellent opportunity to
make up some ground on the front two in the league, with the teams above
third-placed Dikwena – Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates – set to meet at the in
the Soweto derby on Saturday.
An
excellent victory over Maritzburg United on Tuesday night took Stars’ run to
seven wins in their last eight league matches, championship winning form.
They
will welcome back Vuyo Mere and Thuso Phala from suspension for this match as
well and are hoping to see a bumper crowd come out in support of the side.

fans can find out more about the benefits of the club’s membership scheme and

“We
hope that people will come out in big numbers for our final home game of 2012,
with the team not due to play in front of our fans until February,” says
Platinum Stars Supporters’ Co-coordinator & Media Relations head Aubrey
Molobi.
“It’s
good for players to play in front of a capacity crowd, the team is playing a
good, entertaining brand of football and
winning matches, so there is every reason for supporters to come out in
numbers. We urge the entire province to support the team and come in numbers to
make sure that we create hostile conditions for Golden Arrows.”
Meanwhile,
Stars players will also be involved in the Arrive Alive campaign with the North
West Department of Road Safety on Thursday at the junction between Lefaragatlha
and Tlhabane.
“We
would like to encourage our supporters to drive safely during this festive
season and not to drink and drive … one more death on our roads is too many,”
Molobi says.
The
club would like to remind supporters about prohibited items which are not
allowed at the stadium, such as umbrellas, weapons of any kind and alcohol.
