An Open Letter to Tower Mathoho

Written By Unknown on Friday, June 22, 2012 | Friday, June 22, 2012

Dear Mulomowandau

I hope this letter finds you well my homeboy. I am not well. Tears came to my eyes when I realised that Patrice Motsepe’s money might twist your mind to join Mamelodi Sundowns instead of your childhood favorite team "The Phefeni Glamour Boys" Kaizer Chiefs.

It is undisputed and proven fact that Chiefs is the second best team in South Africa behind 1995 African Championship Orlando Pirates. You know very well that it is only Orlando Pirates jersey with a star on top of their emblem in the whole of Southern Africa. The star was obtained whilst you were 5 years old and busy playing hide and seek game and swimming at Tshipata irrigation water scheme (Migeroni).

Money doesn't buy success. If you want to have a sustainable and prolong career as one of the best Premier Soccer League defender and Bafana Bafana make sure you pull out all the stops to join Chiefs where you will play regular alongside your favourate player Morgan Gould or else u will be a forgotten player soon by choosing money ahead of your career.

Imagine the feeling of playing in-front of more than 20 000 supporters week and week out than playing for a team with maximum supporters of 1 700 every game. Every game to Chiefs is a home game.

Even if they double what Chiefs promised you, don't move to them. They have a reputation of killing blossoming career. Remember Eduardo Ferreira and Thaphelo Tshilo situation there.

My wish is for you to join Chiefs for the sake of your career and Bafana career. I know you’re competitive enough to compete with any Chiefs defender.

I witnessed your diligence ability and blossoming career since your days at Tshiombo XI Securitas back home and also Dolphin FC at Materetere ground at my own village Ha-Makhuvha when I used to be your role model as one of the finest local payer ever produced at Ha-Makhuvha Village.

The best left footed player with array of skills Moses "Jahman" Mundalamo who partnered  u at back during your  Dolphin FC is my blood younger brother who learnt a lot from me as far as football is concern. Moses was supposed to be playing in Spanish La Liga now but education robbed his soccer career and today he is a public servant who is also living a decent life.

It is pity that Injuries robbed my career at early age. My childhood dream was to play for Pirates local and Barcelona in Spanish La Liga.

Mutuka wa haya ha vhifhi!

All the best Khosi 4 Life!
