It is very
disturbing to hear people claiming that they love Kaizer Chiefs yet they are the
ones who negatively criticise it like the enemies should. It is no wonder we
have more booers than supporting members at the stadium because it starts right
here.
If you love
your team you’d either come up with ideas to improve where it is required and/or
notify the relevant stakeholders. This thing of criticising everything we touch
is not on guys, we are now behaving like journalist whose intention is to sell
the story.
The
question should perhaps be, do I really love my team or do I only love the
positive results from my team? Do we really know what the word support stands
for and the meaning thereof?
Khosi
members, I urge you to use these platforms (Facebook and Twitter)
to promote our beloved team so that we can encourage others to join in as well.
We even complain that the stadiums are no longer full when we play, except of
course in a derby.
How then do
we expect the rivals to fear us if we don’t have self-respect, self-confidence,
self-consciousness, self-bravery, self-analysis etc? Guys, we will never reach
our goal if we are divided.
I also
understand there’s a platform that one can use to raise their grievances hence
the existence of the Supporters Relations within our Family. I urge you to be
patience, our turn will come and we will be feared again. If you remember the
times of Whitey, Saadam, Muguyo etc, under the PRO of Bra Louis, there was a
lot of Unity and support than there is now.
I’m not
saying we should compare but then again good things are easy to copy and
imitate. The point I am trying to emphasise is we should rally behind our team
like soldiers protecting the Country, like a man defending his Family, like a
Hawk eyeing his prey, like Collins Mbesuma in front of the poles, like you guys
in your full-outfit entering the FNB stadium.
Guys, with
us there is no Kaizer Chiefs, without us there’s no pride in our team, without
us there’s no the gold and the beautiful.
I know it
may not go well with other members however without Unity we are going nowhere.
