South African football is dying!?!

Written By Unknown on Monday, January 30, 2012 | Monday, January 30, 2012

I'm not the one to lambaste players over the "age" of thirty, however in any sane footballing country in the world; Luis Boa Morte would be a definite hell NO!

This guy last did something meaningful in the period of 2001-2007 even then, that was a mere 27 goal return in 156 appearances... that’s a FAIL!

But because of the countinous decline of South African football maybe he will do a Benni McCarthy and give us some last kicks of a dying horse.

Let’s face it our beloved Premier Soccer League is nowhere near even to some of the ordinary mid table English Premier League matches or their Championship (First Division) sides so this Boa Morte dude might be a winning gamble.

In all of this, one would safely conclude that, South African football is dead and will never see the heights it once saw. Bring us active high profile names not a "has been player"...a "has been failure" nogal! We don’t want players who will only be good in the change room but players who can come here and COMPETE… for a good number of years.

What will happen to Boa Morte after the CAF African Champions League? Ma Satafrika amahle, you guys are getting a raw deal.
