Debate: Do Mamelodi Sundowns players show hunger to win?

Written By Unknown on Thursday, November 3, 2011 | Thursday, November 03, 2011

Katlego Katz-swagger Matipa  says: Some of the Mamelodi Sundows players don’t play with passion and might say they play for fame and it makes a draw back for other players and think they all the same and replacing coaches as if we changing underwears wont make any difference but make them the worst team ever. Because every coach has his own coaching tactics and it’s not easy to adjust for the players… it needs time and to see whose best in which position. So that’s what we should understand. It’s hectic for the coach guys.

It seems we were not watching the same game, from what I see here. The game was not bad on our side with a very good different style of play or approach today. Those who take Sundowns for granted must do so at their own peril now. I foresee a wave of Tsunami to hit other teams not yet played against us. For those who did not see any improvements, remember we were playing against Platinum stars. Stars are very good with the ball especially their wings. It is typical for us to play a draw with them. I do not read a lot from the score but several glimpse of improvement from our boys, i.e. good professional touches. You can see that 5-1 game gave our players lot of confidence. They were comfortable with the ball.

Thabo Mbeki and Fikile Mbalula have said that Bafana Bafana does not know what it means to play for South Africa; the same can be said to Mamelod Sundowns players. The HUNGER to win was not visible on some of the players; you could feel like some of them were at a practice session as they picked when to play and when not.

Maseko Duda, that’s a fairytale you're talking about you, can be comfortable on the ball for the whole season but as long as you don't get points you're going nowhere! Just go back in our wining days of league, this is different, a piece of sh!t!

Guys I don’t understand… what’s wrong? Why can’t we win matches? I mean we have the best line up of players in de entire league mara we are not delivering. We haven’t even won one cup aowa that’s not cool come on show South Africa what you are made of Sundawana show them please.

Sbu Jobe
Draw is better than a loose. But we still need a win. And be crowed Champs bring the glory days again boys.

Maseko Duda
We were the first to take the league for three times in a row. We know how to finish the league whilst others only know how to start well. Those who are first are going to be the last as we finish on first spot. SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates do not have good finish. So I do not bother about their performance. Everything is going to be alright provided we do not keep on firing and hiring the coaches.

This coach must for once heed MaSandawana's voice and field either Papi Zothwane, Mathew Pattison or Esrom Nyandoro in the place of Surprise Moriri and Hlompho Kekana. We need fresh and hungry legs on the middle of the park. Not to take anything away from Moriri and Kekana, but I think their real ages are catching up with them.

Youri Kongolo
Pirates got a draw and are in 5th position… don’t worry guys Nedbank Cup and Absa Premier Socecr League is between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns… chiefs will win league and Sundowns Nedbank Cup… Teko Modise will lead Sundowns to glory.

Themba Zikalala
Madume to all the yellow crew... I think we played well as a team but luck was not on our side... Henyekane played well and Sandilands was outstanding...we are getting better and better though there's still a room for improvement in terms of how we move the ball in the final third. Ka bo yellow!

Tapuwa Shiridzinomwa
Well played guys tonight we only had 3 problems; 1) when Nyasha Mushekwi, Richard Henyekanye and Katlego Mphela we going forward they were not supported by our mid. 2) Hlompho Kekana and Surprise Moriri were playing to deep. 3) The passing was not good at all. Hope the coach will rectify those things well done boys.

Vincent Mashiane
If I may ask what will Pattison and Nyandoro do if we play them. Will they score goals or will they as rock hard in d middle without creating scoring opportunities. Come on MaSandawana we trying to assemble a creative and an offensive team, cant we see that. We played well just luck was not on our side, hardy boys. Ka bo yellow!

Thanks MaSandawana supporters at least tonight you make good comments keep it up you don’t blame anyone for the draw and that is good, but Downs fans do you notice that every game we played is from playing against Chiefs in the previous week or their last game was against chiefs so I will be hard to win this game e.g. Bloemfontein Celtic, Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates, Platinum Stars, Maritzburg United, SuperSport United etc so if you have notice this blander match fixing you can comment. Also lastly I’m impressed with Wayne Sandilands’ performance.
