Saddam out…. Machaka in

Saddam Maake has lost his self-declared Number One Kaizer Chiefs supporter title.

KickOff.com has just been informed that Kaizer Chiefs have stripped Saddam of his Vodacom Challenge ambassadorship for talking to the media when he was not mandated to by the club.

The ambassadorship has now been given to Masilo Machaka, another one of Amakhosi’s die-hard supporters.

Saddam denies allegations that he was stripped for not sticking to the rules. “I don’t want to be a Mugabe (Zimbabwe President),” quips the jokeful Saddam. “Give others a chance,” he says.

“From 2006, we have been saying another Khosi needs a chance. Yes, I’m not going to be the ambassador of the team during this year’s Vodacom Challenge and Machaka will be the man.

“He’s been nominated by lots of people to take over as the Number One supporter. We must support the man. Radio stations call me, but I give them Machaka’s number, because they must speak to him about the Vodacom Challenge.

“I will continue to support the team, but it is time for the new generation to bring together the supporters.

“Everyone is a number 1 supporter in my opinion, but we need a driver and that’s Machaka now,” Saddam says.

Did you recognize Saddam as Chiefs’ so-called Number One supporter or in your eyes, there is no such thing as a Number One supporter?

This is really a good Sadam, when told to off ramp he acts as instructed with a smile. He needs to go next door and tell that old timer Bob to call it quits. South Africa is really great at power transition hope all of Africa is taking notes.

Anyway this is Chiefs fish to fry. We at Mzayoni camp are going full force behind Mzayoni. We are not going to be forced into becoming coppy cats. If you keep on living you will soon see a new and cool face at SAFA soon. Will exchange hands with outgoing President Oliphant. Look Gordon requested to be released and it was smooth, not too much noise in the air. Owen Da Gama requested to be excused and that went smooth too. When Krol came in the kernel that was smooth too. You did not have all that halabaloo we hear next door and out there. We have not seen groth yet it's just a taste. Dr. Khoza is the real deal delivery man and lets rally behind him to SAFA Presidency. Dr. Khoza is the only leggend who came from the old school NPSL. In the NPSL it was to bloody but today we sit side by side with our beautiful women Kaizer Chiefs. We were too much traditionalist and beat the woman all the time. However Dr. Khoza has come and taught us that was abuse and we now see and love the women as she ought to be loved. We are still man and Makhosikazi will always be Makhosikazi. Some other people have done well too but Khoza had really paid his dues. His been tried and tested and came forth as gold.If you can lead Pirates than you can lead anything anywhere, no wonder Khoza is a Full Bird Colonel. Even a thug when they see a Pirates logo or bumper sticker they keep on going. At one stage we had no sponsor, we was just too crazy to get a sponsor and yet Khoza kept food in our plates. We must learn fron Bra Micheal Jackson. Let us tell people we love them and all that good stuff while they can hear us. Anotherway of doing that is telling your teams chairperson to vote Dr. Khoza. It also shows that the people of Alexandra are real leaders, we can count a long list of people who came from township. I hope you recall Alfred Nzo, Buti Thagale and the list is longer. My own grandfather was among the first black business owners in Alex. Lately guys like Brian and Shakes are from Alex. You know in those days only the strong survived in Alex. But anyway it is just the right thing to do. Khoza, Kaizer and Jomo have brought us till thus far. It was not easy leaving NPSL as nothing was guaranteed, we could have ended like the old league but look where we are today. Mandela has summed it up well "long walk to freedom" Today players do not get a case of black label but they take fat checks to the bank, no wonder too many of them cannot stay focussed in the game. Think of Teenage Dladla gearning Sibusiso Zuma monthly salary that would be real fireworks. Today we dont have to take a brush and paint our shirts we can go to the store and pick our team gear. Today we can go to the game at night instead of three in the afternoon. Today no weapons or even home made weapons make it to the stadiums. If you was there when knives were flying around at Orlando Stadium you are great. We must not forget to tell these stories unless we fall asleep and go back to our days of savages. Yes only a savage can carry a panga and okape or jungle to a mere soccer game. Today we carry our plates of pap and steak and coke to our seats, no wonder Bobby is gaing muscles. Look, the man leads by example when Khoza took the front sit at Pirates only a handful were going to the Pirates games. It's not easy to get a Pirates fan get to the stadium and when they do come you must make sure the team wins or else hell brakes loose. At one time Chiefs was feeling FNB way past half stadium, recall Pirates side did not have the upper levels but chiefs were filling all levels and behind goal posts too. However bucs fans have come out in large numbers, we even have many fans who came from Swallows. Swallows has not gotten to where we all know it can do.
