Paper Talk: Mabhuti, Klate and Dikgacoi on the move

Written By Unknown on Monday, May 25, 2009 | Monday, May 25, 2009

This is a new feature here on SA Football Fans called Paper Talk. Here in South Africa we have three 'Premier' soccer publications and because I buy them on a weekly basis I figured that it would be a good idea to share some of the transfer rumors that these papers are talking about.

The publications are Soccer Laduma, Kick-Off, and Football Arena. There's also Soccerlife but they only come out every second month. With the football season also coming to an end now we will have to rely on football rumors to get us through the off season so I hope you guys will find this interesting.

Mahbuti Khenyeza wanted by Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs(Soccer laduma): Ajax Cape Town's top goalscorer is reportedly in demand by the PSL's big clubs with Sundowns, Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs rumored to be interested in signing the striker. Khanyeza is unlikely to stick around at the Urban Warriors if Mushin Ertugral takes over and would be open to a move, but he is believed to prefer a move overseas. Ajax are also said to be after R10 Million for him and you can't see any local clubs meeting that price....

Tinashe Nengomasha not leaving Chiefs for Sundowns(Kick Off): Kaizer Chiefs' midfield general will NOT be leaving Amakhosi in the summer. The player is still waiting on an offer from Chiefs but has ruled out a move to Mamelodi Sundowns who are rumored to be after his services, claiming that Chiefs are the only PSL club he would play for out of loyalty to the club and the fans.

Daine Klate aiming for move to Europe(Soccer Laduma): Supersport United winger Daine Klate's agent Ashley Kotzin has confirmed that he is busy negotiating a move to Dutch outfit Utrecht for his player. Kotzin seemed pissed off at the fact that Klate wasn't called up for Bafana's Confederations Cup squad and probably believes that a move to a bigger club will be in the players best interest. Klate has also hinted that he is ready to move on. "I have done well with the team, I have won trophies and two league titles with SuperSport and think it's time for me to move on and I'm confident things will work out for me" the winger was quoted as saying.

Eduardo Ferreira heading overseas(Kick Off): Ajax Cape Town's Brazilian defender Eduardo Ferreira is reportedly on his way to playing in Europe or the Middle East next season. The defender confirmed this when he revealed that there were in fact two teams interested in his services. " There are two club's interested in me" he said " One is a Swiss First Division outfit while another from Qatar is also very keen" . Ferreira has one year left on his contract but says that he wants to further his career overseas for financial reasons.

Portsmouth chasing Kagiso Dikgacio(SoccerLaduma): It appears as if the Golden Arrows midfielder's move to Fulham has fallen through after failing to complete a January move to Craven Cottage but Kagiso is still likely to be playing in the English Premier League next season after Portsmouth expressed an interest in his services.

The players manager seems confident that a move to England will happen in the summer but refused to say which club he would be playing for. " Well, all I can say now is that Dikgaqoi will be playing in the English main stream next season, we are confident about that and the fact that if he plays in the Confederations Cup, he will then have above 75 percent of the National Caps needed in England. For now we wont say which teams are interested in the player, all I can say is he will be playing in England next season. " said the players agent Mike Makaab.

Okay guys, there you have it, our first edition of "Paper Talk" . This is a new feature on SA Football Fans that we plan on publishing once a week so that fans can catch up with the hottest transfer gossip online. Till next week....
