This past weekend has been one of my personal favourates. The display of quality football, drama, skill and all that one would expect from Mzansi Diski. I had a privillage of watching a number of games over the weekend. The Bucs loss to the Beautiful Summer time Birds, The Platinum Province Stars win over Washu Mlilo, and the phefeni boys hard fought victory over Siwelele.
I have to say; it was sometime since I saw a good game since the 52 or is it 49 Mamelodi Sundowns passes against Chiefs. What a game on Saturday night. I even lost count of how many times the goal posts were hit. The fighting spirit on all the players and the eagerness to display good football to the spectators on the night.
As much as they lost on the day, Bloemfontein Celtic fought to the bitter end. Chiefs only escaped, although one has to mention the good football they displayed on the night. It was good football all-round with Pirates also giving Swallows a good run for the three points.
With such good football, why should we not fill the Stadiums?
