What a weekend of disappointment and mistakes kuDiski yaseMzansi.Firstly Orlando Pirates failed to capitalize on Supersport United’s led. While Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town second that with a not so great draw. Kaizer Motaung Junior missed a sitter and Senzo Mayiwa… hmmm… no words! It was not a good weekend for the three contenders for league honors.
Back to diski, I was aslo watching one of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) games and I was shocked to see or realise that half of Mzansi players do what I think it’s not right.
I mean some players are not even Roman Catholic or even set their feet to church, yet when they miss the goal, they’ll pray the Roman style and not knowing they are praying. Let’s look at former Orlando Pirates goalie, Williams Okpara.
He will kneel and pray, but nowadays... it’s like they pray that maybe God will help them score and when they score they make funny signs and not thanking God. My point is pray your heart out not doing it to be seen. Mind you that God doesn’t have favourites on the field, yet HE just want to see the talent on the field.
Please guys lets not do what is not right!
I’m writing this piece in hospital bed awaiting to go for a major operation in Bloemfontein med clinic. I will never stop writing for Diskioff even if my doctors tell me I need to rest. Let’s keep on supporting our teams and players.
