It is time the North West take a bow, yet again. This is a province that had not had a PSL team for sometime. Now it’s doing everything right, and not so long, we will have more teams from the province competing on the elite league. If you look at it, this province has two teams in the PSL, given that the President (Mr. Motsepe) is a Platinum Resident.
It was music to our ears, all of us in the North West, to hear that the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace is ready for the Confederations Cup. There is a whole lot of good that Ntate George Khonou and his team are doing. Their effort cannot go unnoticed. They are doing everyone in the Platinum Province proud, and making the country reliable to Fifa.
I went to Phokeng on the 30th of December and construction at the Stadium was going on and you could see that everyone is pulling all stops to complete the stadium in time. Mr. Khunou and the team are visionary, and that’s why Platinum Stars will soon be a force to be reckoned with.
I get surprised to read that Kaizer Chiefs will be the first team to own a stadium in the country, well, we at the Platinum Province have a team that owns a stadium that is ready to host the world at any given time.
Big up to everyone who had a hand in making all this a success.
