In
Spain we have Real Madrid, Barcelona and the rest which makes the Spanish La
Liga boring and the most predictable league in the world. Madrid and Barcelona
already won 54 combined La Liga Championships out of 82 titles with other 57
teams only managed 28 championships since 1929.
Currently
in South Africa, we have Kaizer Chiefs dominating the rest of the Premier
Soccer League (PSL) teams. Chiefs already whipped PSL contenders such as Mamelodi
Sundowns and SuperSport United which justified that they are on fire to defend
its championship title. Chiefs is the
most consistency team in the PSL with 9 straight wins to this end whilst other
championship contenders are suffering from erratic and complacency performance.
United
already played 4 games after the CHAN break. They already lost 2 and won 2
games which justify the inconsistency performance coupled with complacency.
After winning a game, United always lose the next game which is a true
definition of the complacency and inconsistency performance. The coach Cavin
Johnson is not happy with this win and lose trend but he attributed this
inconsistency to elapsing of concentration and missing clear cut goal
opportunities.
Sundowns
already played 2 games after CHAN but lost 3 points at home against Chiefs and
managed to collect 3 points at home against the bottom team Golden Arrows, but
the coach Pitso Mosimane is not having any sleepless nights as his focus is
doing well than monitoring Chiefs performance.
Orlando
Pirates already played 4 games after CHAN and managed to win 2 games and draw 1
and lose 1 but the worrying factor is that Pirates already lost 3 games at
their own backyard after only 12 PSL games which is an odd results taking into
consideration that the maximum lose at home after 30 matches is 3 games in the
past.
Many
soccer fans believe that Pirates will catch up with Chiefs, but the team
performance already justified that a match in hand can't be translated into 3
points in the bag.
Chiefs
already played 3 games and collected 9'points which include 6 important points
away to championship contender Sundowns and Moroka Swallows who hardly lose
games at their own backyard. Chiefs has done itself a huge favour by collecting
maximum points before league crunch time towards the end.
Kaizer
Chiefs has turned the PSL into one man race.
