We need change in SAFA office as soon as possible

Written By Unknown on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 | Wednesday, September 11, 2013

The South African Football Association (SAFA) is to be blame for this, they hire a coach, give him mandate with no support system and sit back fold their arms knowing if the coach is failing people are going to make the noise they making now and all the focus and the blame will be on the coaches shoulders not them.

It’s time for a new team now coz we not going to Brazil, where is the coach going to get the players if there are no under 17, 20 and 23? We are the only nation without the junior sides.

Players like Bongani Zungu, Thulani Serero, Lebogang Manyama, Luyolo Nomandela, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Tshepo Gumede, Eric Mathoho etc they were suppose to have played together in the development and come to the national team already sebesazana (knowing each other).

What system is the coach going to use to get the player, via that DSTV Walka? A senior team coach is not suppose to develop the players, we all know the problem is with scoring goals and that problem is suppose to be worked on at under-20, under-23 level not take Siphelele Mthembu and throw him in coz he scored two goals in one game over the weekend and think he'll solve the problem.

Senior level coach is not suppose to be rotating a team like Gordon Igesund is doing to look for combinations Under-20, Under23 is suppose to do that. Look we can go on and on and on with the structure that we still have in SAFA believe you me we'll still struggle against any team with good structures in place.

We have the infrastructure but power, greed, corruption and short sighted thinking heads of some of the South African people is totally killing this sport loving nation that is Madiba Nation. If anybody needs to be fired is SAFA and put someone who knows the sport, knows the challenges in the game and who is going to put the success of the nation first.

Look at Kalusha Bwalya (President of the Football Association of Zambia), in Zambia, who the hell is Mwelo Nonkonyana (SAFA vice-president)? What does Kirsten Nematandani (President of the South African Football Association) knows about the development and structuring a winning team?

Mandla Mazibuko (SAFA vice-president) doesn't look like a guy who could stand firm and lead a winning nation. You don't nominate yourself into a position after a guy you were supporting dropped you; if you are a man for a job why didn't you stand up from the word go?
