Bafana Bafana arrive in Durban

Bafana Bafana arrived to a great reception at the King Shaka International Airport in Durban on Monday morning (02 September 2013) with a group of dancers waiting for them as well as hundreds of fans.

The South Africans are in the coastal city to prepare for the crucial Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Botswana on Saturday, 7 September.

The clash will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Kickoff is at 15h30.

Upon arrival the players spent time at the Absa branch of Megacity Shopping Centre in Umlazi signing autographs for hundred of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their heroes.

There are 13 players in camp, with three overseas-based players – Kagisho Dikgacoi, Bongani Khumalo and Dean Furman (all from England) – who joined the squad on the plane to Durban.

The players have been given the afternoon off and will start preparations on Tuesday morning (03 September) where five other players are expected to arrive – Siyanda Xulu (Russia); Kamogelo Mokotjo and Thulani Serero (both from Holland); Tokelo Rantie (Sweden) as well as Anele Ngcongca (Belgium).

The five Orlando Pirates players will only arrive in Durban on Tuesday afternoon as they will land from Cairo in the morning (Tuesday).
