The state of poor football is here to stay in South Africa

Written By Unknown on Thursday, June 13, 2013 | Thursday, June 13, 2013

In Germany I heard somewhere that teams who participate in German Bundesliga have a mandatory to have a development structure.

This got me thinking, maybe if the Premier Soccer League wasn't governed differently and was under another control, control from somebody who didn't think about his or her profit at club but thought of delivering a quality product for the masses which is the league, maybe we'd have better development structures, we'd have more teams in the Premier Soccer League and we'd have a better national team.

With the current structure of the Premier Soccer League, I don't see much change in our football because club owners and chairman see more teams as more travelling expenses, more injuries and fatigue which ultimately means, less money in their pockets.

So the state of poor football is here to stay. We'll be watching this poor football for a long time!!
