At
Orlando Pirates and in the football circles many players have seen their future
blowing up in smoke because of agents yet they claim to have the best interest
of the players they are representing at heart.
Take
the case of Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Matoho for instance who didn't listen
to his agent who had already counted the millions if he had signed for Mamelodi
Sundowns... he chose his path n it paid off for him.
After
scoring a brace for Bafana Bafana in a friendly game against Lesotho, Tlou
Segolela's agent is busy in the media releasing statements that a certain team
in England has shown interest in Segolela.
My
question is he doing justice to the players career... taking into consideration
the fact that Segolela is about to sit with the club to negotiate a new deal.
Will the Agent and Segolela be reasonable in demands considering that a certain
team in England has shown interest in the boy... one thing for sure is that
Pirates will not wait till Segolela's contract come to an end. Segolela is the
product of our development and has been loyal to the team ever since.
Once
a Pirate always a Pirate!
