Written By Unknown on Saturday, June 8, 2013 | Saturday, June 08, 2013

The Nike Football Soweto Training Centre in Soweto was abuzz with energy as the top eight under-15 football clubs battled it out on day two of the Manchester United Premier Cup 2013 South Africa finals.

Mamelodi Sundowns FC secured top position in Group A and will play Supersport FC finishing second in Group B in the first semi-final tomorrow; while the second semi-final will see SAFA Transnet School of Excellence, top scorers of Group B, up against Rosina Sedibane Sports School finishing second in Group A – determining which teams will compete in the final game at midday on Sunday.

Day two also saw defending tournament winners, Ajax Cape Town,  missing out on the opportunity to progress to the finals. The 20th anniversary will see a new team heading to the MUPC global finals in Manchester in August.

Teams competing for third to eighth position will also take place during the course of the morning.
