Kaizer
Chiefs former captain Jimmy Tau had his chance and he never disappointed: Bon Voyage
Mate!
As sad as this is to all Amakhosi faithfuls it is done, there is no one
to blame!
Completing
his studies was the best thing he could do, we also have to understand that
this is business. And from that perspective, Chiefs cannot keep a player who
seems all but done due to injuries, looking at it from a business perspective
he had to leave so Chiefs makes space for a youngster 'they' consider an asset
(future-investment) for a long run.
Tau
played his part in our team and now I thought he would retire, as his injury
suggested age is taking toll on the man, since he was promised an admin position
related to his qualifications. But now he insisted that he still wanted to
play, so considering that Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter says he is not in his
plans management had to act.
And
now he is leaving not that Chiefs would have loved to keep him in the office
but because he feels he can still play a few more seasons.
The
very same thing happened to Thabo Mooki. Chiefs wanted to give him an admin
position but he refused because he still wanted to play. Let’s be glad that Tau
played his role while he had the chance and now it’s time for new beginnings.
Bon
Voyage Jimmy Raboholo Tau... Go Well Amakhosi Ambassador!
