AmaZulu terminate Madida’s contract

Written By Unknown on Monday, March 11, 2013 | Monday, March 11, 2013

AmaZulu have parted ways with its assistant coach Fani Madida after the club’s board resolved to terminate the 46 year coach’s contract with immediate effect on 11 March 2013, Monday afternoon.

According to club directors, the decision to release Madida came into being after it was found that the working relationship between the assistant coach and that of the head coach (Craig Rosslee) had not improved since the coach’s arrival.

“The directors informed us of their decision during today’s technical team meeting and the rest of the team will be informed this afternoon at training,” said club PRO, Philani Mabaso.

The board of directors will honour the remaining months of the Newcastle born coach’s contract which was due to end in the end of June 2013.

The current technical team will continue working alongside the head coach. Management will fill the vacancy in due course.

AmaZulu have thanked the coach for his services since joining the club in the 2010/11 season.
