Pitso Mosimane's tactics and techniques let the nation down again

Written By Unknown on Monday, June 4, 2012 | Monday, June 04, 2012

Pitso Mosimane must step down as Bafana Bafana Head coach. I’m heart broken by yesterday’s lackadaisical performance by South Africa.

We have quality players from best league in the world. Prior to the game, our boys trained in the world class best infrastructure in Rustenburg but failed to collect maximum points against a lowly ranked minnow Ethiopia because of Pitso inferior tactics and techniques.

If we can't beat Ethiopia at our own backyard, who else are we going to beat taking into consideration that Bafana last won an away official game back in 2008 against Equatorial Guinea, surely we will struggle away from home.

Pitso should be fired for undermining the talent and quality that the country has produced. Pitso selected his team and Best XI based on reputation and favouritism than merits. He is forever selecting his own boys and he must pay the price.

We warned SAFA when they appointed a coach based on race card and BEE charter than merits. South Africa is for both black and white so any coach of any race is entitled to coach the national team. Pitso was never a saint. He even failed to win Premier Soccer League championship during his tenure at SuperSport United.

He only had cup games reputation not a championship mentality. Pitso was known as a PSL cry baby coach who fought and nearly strangled many referees and I still remember his childish behaviour when he invaded Thohoyandou stadium chasing after a referee to "moer" him and later he was sent to attend anger management course.

My point is, Pitso was never a right candidate for Bafana hot seat ahead of Gordon Igesund and Gavin Hunt. He got a job based on his skin pigmentation. Pitso is another weakest link and must leave Bafana with his rotten ego and attitude.

He has done more damage to the team. Bafana is one of the weakest African soccer team and Pitso is the one to be blamed. Hamba Pitso... we won't miss you.

I wish SAFA can also be dissolved too. Kirsten Nematandani regime is also failing our national team. They are busy fighting for position instead of coming up with amicable solutions for Bafana failure.

Nematandani is the weakest link and he must step down too. Our football from junior ranks to bafana is nose diving. South Africa has a serious soccer crisis. We are not going to Brazil 2014 and our next participation in the world cup will be through hosting again maybe in the 2098.
