VV must resign as Kaizer Chiefs coach

Written By Unknown on Thursday, December 1, 2011 | Thursday, December 01, 2011

We can find many excuses or give facts about our team and why Vladimir Vermezovic must not go or whether Kaizer Motaung sticks to his word of not firing the coach and stick with him... but now...

It is clear that the players are determined not to work with VV anymore and from yesterday’s game against SuperSport United they are also mentally confident about that.

As much as I really like the coach because of the job he has previously done for our team, I think he must just swallow his pride and resign before the players embarrass him further because it’s true they don’t like the guy anymore.

Yesterday’s game we should have won it 3-0 (Bernard Parker, Lehlohonolo Majoro and George Lebese) should have scored taking nothing from the keeper of SuperSport United Ronwen Williams.

SuperSport was given those goals by our players; first by Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane's mistake. Yeye made a school by error, why didn’t he pass the ball to Tefu Mashamaite to clear cos he was in front of him? The defence was ball watching for the second goal because they thought it was going out and they are not determined not to work for the coach they watch the player score on a rebound.

We have been dominating all the games we have played but end up losing or drawing the games why, just a simple tap in but the players will miss. We have the players to do the job for this team, but the problem is that they are not determined to die for this team because they don’t want to work for him (VV) anymore... if you look back at the game we won on the 17th of September you’ll understand why I’m saying this.

However, we will still continue to support win, lose or draw!!

Freedom in Bra Ks Time Part1

I fully agree with Dnomza but I have a different take on the matter. I believe Chiefs is stagnating as an organisation & is likely to suffer the decline that clubs like Swallows and Liverpool endured over the years. The situation is beyond VV who happens to be a right coach at the wrong club.

Cast your mind back to when Dimitru was at the helm. He took the club out of a coma. He could fill FNB stadium to the brim playing against the likes of Wits. Played attractive soccer with players like 10111, Scara & more & was not bothered by Jabu Pule antics. Playing in Bidvest and Dobsonville was considered a risk. Chiefs are now taking games to Polokwane, PE etc as uncompromising Gauteng-based supported vote with their feet which supporter in other provinces are happy to settle to see their heroes in their own backyards.
Dimitru was then sacked by a complacent club after leading the club to a historic back to back league title win. What has happened since then? We settle for a single trophy as season and play 2nd fiddle to whoever rules the roast in any give season eg Downs, Supersports & now Pirates? It’s unfortunate that the clubs "40 year" history is exactly what is blinding the club and rendering it deaf to the 13th player's pleas. Chiefs have simply failed to catch up with modern ways of managing thing on and off the field of play preferring to fall back of the comfort of marketing expertise thus raking in millions regardless of how they perform on the field of play. Bobby is simply sustaining a long-standing culture of doing things at the club & thus enduring insults for Bra K which is still pulling stings behind the scenes. The difference between the two is that one is media shy while the other loves the spotlight but the problems are still the same.
The buy one get three policy should only supplement a solid a strong transfer policy rather than be thee policy. VV is unable to unearth new talent from lower division preferring the so-called “players with Bafana potential” when Bafana haven’t covered themselves in glory and having proved that anyone who moves to a bigger club or grabs headlines can walk in and out of their set up. Our coaching department have been dominated by foreign coaches over the last 7 or so seasons with very little to show for it. There had been no innovations except for sending player into early retirement while destroying the potential of promising talent. And as we can see from the like of Pirates, Supersport and Sundowns its better to invest in buying quality player to create an environment that is conducive for development of younger players. The situation at Chiefs bring to life words that were once uttered by Gavin Hunt who said “ Without Khune, Chiefs would be a middle-of-the table team”
Please bring back Prof Dimitru and Doctor to nurse this club back to life and mend the broken hearts on Amakhosi supporters.

Love and peace.
