When it comes to team selection our coaches should select best and most deserving players. All players should fight for recognition, fight for national call up and fight to be in the starting lineup. This is not Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, etc affair… It’s the national team of the beautiful South Africa. Let the best players get the job done for us. Let’s support whoever is selected to don the famous jersey. I will support whoever is selected as the number 1 goalkeeper for the game against Nigeria on Saturday.
Moeneeb Josephs deserves to be in the starting line up following his super performance against Golden Arrows although they lost the match. But I also believe
Itumeleng Khune is a good keeper (considering the age, otherwise not) but needs lots of international exposure. The dude needs competitive time with the under 23. Steve Komphela should be blamed for Bafana Bafana's bad run; his team should produce players for BB. I truly believe that it's time the Bafana coach takes over the control of u23s, that way young players would be tried and tested with demolishing their future! Look at Papi Zothwane, just one bad game for the boy and he's now forgotten. Bryce Moon conceded a penalty at AFCON qualifiers and since then the boy's morale and form having been bad. Pitso "John" Mosimane should start working for his money by hand-picking u23 players and coaching them under Joel Santana (or whoever is the head coach).
