Mamelodi
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is always accusing other teams for playing
ultra-defensive football of parking the bus but he did the same against
Polokwane City by replacing offensive players with defensive minded players.
Lebohang
Cheeseboy Mokoena was the most effective player but sacrificed for right back Bryce
Moon and lone striker Rodney Ramagalela was replaced by left back Punch
Masenamela.
It
was inappropriate for him to cited missing of key players as a rationale behind
the switch to defensive mood. Mosimane has a pool of offensive player in the
bench including versatile Dove Wome but he decided to make tactical change of
defensive team to protect the one goal led and maximum points.
Sundowns
is famous for free flowing, well coordinated and carpet football but against City,
they played unorthodox ultra-defensive football due to pressure to close the
championship gap with Kaizer Chiefs.
It
was not a best game by Sundowns despite a scrappy win. Mosimane is now prepared
to play ultra-defensive by parking the bus too but he must desist from blaming
other coaches for dirty defensive techniques as he is doing the same too.
Indeed
desperate times call for desperate measures.
