Another
dull, disappointing and frustrating night for Orlando Pirates but little much
improved performance with only one short on target at the 67 minutes.
The
team lacked sense of urgency by knocking the ball around nicely without
penetrating the Ajax Cape Town defence. Players were nervous to commit
themselves going forward.
The
team lacked cohesion between defence and midfield especial when fighting
for the second ball. Ajax collected many second ball without any pressure from
Pirates.
The wing play was ineffective as few astray crosses were played but not in the box due to wind. The team lacked vision and creativity in the third quarter of the pitch.

The
fighting spirit was bit impressive but tactical change of starting with Joseph Molongoane ahead of Tlou Segolela
never made any serious impact whilst ineffective lone striker tactic never
created any goalscoring opportunity.
With
this mediocre, lackadaisical and lacklustre performance, the only bragging
right left now is to play for the top 8 but the championship is gone.
