Nike
introduces its most technologically advanced football, the Nike Maxim FA Cup
ball, at Wembley this weekend.
As
supporting partner of England's FA Cup, Nike will supply match balls for every
FA Cup game, starting this weekend with the semi-final fixtures Millwall v.
Wigan Athletic, and Chelsea v. Manchester City, as well as for the Final on May
11. Nike’s partnership with The Football Association, the oldest football
association in the world, was announced in September 2012.
Featuring
design and performance innovation that offer superb responsiveness, touch and
ball flight, the Nike Maxim is enhanced with Nike RaDaR (Rapid Decision and
Response) technology, a lab and field-tested standard of visual performance
that allows players to see the ball better and helps them make split-second,
gamechanging decisions.
To
maximize first touch and distribution, five-layer ball construction guarantees
optimal first touch while a 360° sweet spot provides consistent response off
