This
is my unequivocal assessment report about Orlando Pirates past and the present
coach state of minds:
1. Kostadin Papic -
Mastermind
He
was the mastermind of free flowing football that won the heart of many fans
with his offensive style of football.
2. Rudi Krol -
Intelligent mind
He
build solid foundation for championship team over the two years period and in
his final year, he won the treble championship. He was a disciplinary coach who
played players based on the performance than reputation
3. Julio Leal -
Conscious Mind
He
was a good coach but players take advantage of his humbleness and down to earth
personality by over controlling him like a ball boy. He lost respect and the
dressing room battle to players.
Poor
Julio Leal could not see the way forward” and offered the chairman (Irvin
Khoza) “to do what is right for the club”. He was fired
4. Augusto Palacious -
Great Mind
He
was la father figure to his players. He won a league after good foundation laid
by Julio Leal. His problem was favouritism towards certain special players who
never lived up to the fans expectation. Prior to his released due to health
problem, he was no longer in good books of the fans.
5. Roger De Sa - Never
mind
The
current coach is collecting maximum points playing deep ultra defensive
football which is anti-Orlando Pirates style of play. He has careless and
"I don't care" approach as long as the maximum points are collected
either playing good or bad football. He is developing an attitude towards
disrespecting the opponent by playing fringe players already passed the sell by
date. To RDS, win is win and so what?
