Gordon
Igesund stands the head and shoulder above the rest of Bafana Bafana coaching
job contenders. He is the South African 20011/2012 PSL coach of the Year who
already collected four Premier Soccer League champions accolades with four
different teams, namely Manning Rangers (1996/97), Orlando Pirates (2000/01),
Santos (2001/2002) and Mamelodi Sundowns (2006/2007). Gordon has taken the bull
by its horns through continuing to inspire South African soccer community by
winning accolades with ordinary teams.
He
turned the average and ordinary teams such as Santos and Manning Rangers into
championship teams without big names quality players. He was instrumental in
rebuilding the relegation bound Moroka Swallows into a PSL championship
contender last season. He is well endowed with the modern soccer tactics and
techniques' acumen.
He
also has an ability to turn an average player into a world class player. His
tactical and technical philosophy put more emphasis on attacking football that
always resulted in scoring avalanches of goals. Gordon Igesund players are
excellence on Zonal making, cohesive and well organize team structure, tactical
discipline, comfortable on the ball, good diagonal runs, good transitional
movement coupled with quicker tempo ability to pounce from the wings with clear
attacking intentions.
He
can easily mould youngsters with experience players to form a solid and
competitive team. The success is imminent under Gordon Igesund's for Bafana
Bafana. He is what the country desperately needs to revitalize the Bafana
Bafana's performance.
Gordon
Igesund technical team should include Steve Kompela as an Assistant coach and
also Shakes Mashaba as the Technical Advisor for Bafana Bafana.
