Ajax
Cape Town held their 2012 Player Awards at the Grand Café in Camps Bay on
Monday, 21 May 2012.
The
Urban Warriors honoured their best performers of the 2011/2012 season in Grand
style at a venue over-looking Camps Bay’s pristine beach. This setting was
appropriate as the best of Cape Town’s professional football players gathered
to honour their fellow stars at one of the most beautiful locations in South
Africa.
Ajax
PSL Players, Technical staff, Sponsors and the management of Ajax enjoyed a
splendid meal provided by the Grand Café before the CEO; George Comitis called
the attention of the guests.
Comitis
thanked the Sponsors; MTN, Adidas and Old Mutual before the Ajax CEO announced
the winners of the individual awards for 2012. The players were rewarded not
only for their exploits on the field but for how they conducted themselves off
the field as Ajax Cape Town players.

of the Year: Thato Mokeke

of the Year: Sean Roberts

of the Year: George Maluleka
After the individual awards were handed over
the Ajax CEO called Brett Evans to the presentation area and proceeded to thank
him for his exemplary conduct and his professionalism as an Ajax player for the
last 13 years. Evans was the only surviving 1999 squad player still at the club
and his tenure came to an end today.
The
Ajax CEO presented Brett Evans with a gift and a framed montage of photographs
Brett’s time at Ikamva.
Comitis
said, “Ajax Cape Town wishes Brett Evans well in his future endeavours, we
thank him for his loyal service and commitment.”
