Sandani Makondelela Godfrey says: I am watching SoccerZone on Monday and
to be honest the point raise by the guys really is making me to think yes we
did get a win. Isn’t Black Leopards which is second from the bottom with the
young side but the question is can the same team of youngsters stood up for
teams like Mamelodi Sundown and SuperSport United and I doubt that people are
just excited that we got a win weekend, but lets also check that we played Leopards
a team from the first division.
Mdu Mhlongo
The
technical team plans for every game and they use what they believe can yield
result. In this case they looked at the opponents and decided to level the
playing ground cos you know our regular have a tendency of undermining the so
called small team and with the young boys there was no way they could undermine
the opposition.
Sandani Makondelela
Godfrey, Mdu
fair answer but it better not be a tendency of VV proving a point coz I am
telling you if you play that team to SuperSport he will make us a joke.
Mdu Mhlongo
He will never
do something like against any strong opposition cos our senior players shine in
games like that but give them the smaller teams they think the name Kaizer
Chiefs will win the game against the opposition hence we have lost against the
likes of Baroka FC with our full squad.
Khaya Mbanyana
I was watching
too Sandani, a great point thy made… what I fail to understand is we've had some
of these players in the team for a while now and only now he starts touse them…
and I don’t believe he's using them coz some of us have been asking about these
players and calling for him to leave... I like it when you say "it better
not b a tendency of VV proving a point" coz he did it against Pirates
*proved that he is indeed a good coach* I jus don’t know where he loses the
plot sometimes… and the last thing we need is the team blowing hot and cold
again this season.
Sandani Makondelela
Godfrey, true
that and at Khaya because sometimes Kaizer Chiefs management don’t protect their
players from the coach coz we cant just drop guys like Jimmy Tau without any
reason and majority of people are just quite and happy coz we collected maximum
points. I will have to see the cup game how will his starting line up look
like. Time will tell.
Norman Dnomza Mampane
There will
always be questions asked about our team, VV said he wanted to create
competition for the senior guys in the team and there was no jealousy or
anything in the team. They (senior) players are now aware of wt can happen if
they don’t up their game and I think its good from the coach's side to create a
healthy environment within the team… let us be positive about our team. The
future is looking good at Naturena... Rise KHOSI Rise!
Khaya Mbanyana
I jus
think they've given him too much freedom to dictate terms in the team, I know
its not good for any coach to be put under unwanted pressure by management but
this "power" he has over players is leading to his downfall I tell
you... coz what he does now is *once in a while proves a point that he is a good
coach* and after such he will let his stubbornness cloud his judgment.
Norman Dnomza Mampane
He has
already said he will use the younger guys in the cup, so I think he will start with
more or less the same team. He wont make major changes... as for Tau the was
nothing wrong in benching him, he is part of the team and still the captain of
the team, but if he doesn’t perform he will be benched like any other player… let
us look on the bright side, VV is trying to build the confidence amongst his
players and lets support him, greater things are yet to come Makhosi!!
Mdu Mhlongo
Why hire a
coach when the management has to tell him what or what not to do with his squad
if the management can tell a coach who to play then they might as well coach
the team on their own.
Mteza Mapinda
I remember
a Kaizer Chiefs that beat Santos, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape
Town on their way to clinch Telkom Knockout cup. They went on to come from a
goal down and beat SuperSport United in the Nedbank cup. That team had no
Shabba, Yeye, and Khune. So what can stop them from winning against tough
opponents? Did senior players win against Ajax Cape Town, Golden Arrows, and Bloemfontein
Celtic? What difference doesn't make when senior players (not youngsters) lose
and vice versa? Are we concerned about seeing our favourites on the field than
winning?
Khaya Mbanyana
I hear u
Dnomza, but this is something he should have done a while ago not only now when
he is under pressure, coz when these youngsters lose its still going to point back
to him..
Mteza Mapinda Khaya
What is
wrong with doing it now Khosi? Should he continue put his trust on uninterested
players? What was he suppose to do kanti? We needed to go back to our winning
ways, does it really matter how did we get back to winning ways?
Norman Dnomza Mampane
I firstly
said maybe the Tau saga if the was any, was a blessing in disguise... now I have
a filling every player in the team and the technical team is pushing towards
the same goal post and that is to win the league this season...true that @ Mteza!
Felix Ramaano
Yes we may
think that but honestly they have played a very impressive soccer, because the
whole team was involved of which it’s good, I really think that they can stand
for any team, they only need our support during thick and thin
Peter Mathebula
Leopard is
not new in this league so to your info that same young stars had won against
Sunflops in 2009 and went on winning the Telkom Knockout cup so they won
against Celtic on Macufe Cup.
Peter Mathebula
Again if
Ajax can do it with their youngsters so are we. Have faith in the boys and let
Andile and his crew worry about their bloody broke SABC!
Tito Silihasa
Me happy
for the win n the team, in my status before the game I said I will support
whoever selected to play so we won, the team played well and the other players
from the bench came on and contributed well, if it was for tactical reasons I
like it, if it was for other reasons again it won't last long... I hope it was
pure tactical and nothing else and we won and let’s carry on winning by
confusing opponents.
Mxoleli Mtati
I'm glad
for the boys that played and I can not agree more with Khaya, the opposition
warranted a change of such nature because with the senior player we could have
played a draw the young guns are hungry for success, they don't have time to
undermine the opposition, I like the fact that no body expected that all those
young boys would be in the starting 11 but with the better opposition those
boys will not make it, I'm not encouraging them or any thing but experience
matters some times, I hope VV doesn't get carried away and field them in big
matches also...
Norman Dnomza Mampane
Asec
Mimosa of Ghana first won the Africa Championship with their players not over
23 years, because their coach, management and supporters believed in them, on Sunday
it was a blend of experience and inexperienced players and the experienced first
guided the youngsters very well, and if they put their minds to it, they can
beat any team in the PSL… they must not think about the name of players or the
team they are going to play against they must just concentrate on the job at
hand… not taking anything away from the senior guys, they still have a big role
to play their experienced will be needed as times goes by…
Khutso Peace
That's why
a car has only one starring wheel others can talk and give direction and
confuse each other but if only the driver knows where to go then we shall reach
the final destination. For that which is in the best interest of the team only VV
knows what to do, I have accepted that we do not see things the same hence this
diversified opinions. If the senior team is not winning there are talks of
favoritism and young team, if the young team is given a chance and winning there
is questions of experience.
You can
only earn experience if thrown on the field of play and it is games like this
our young team can accumulate it. Off form players, injuries, suspension factors
can disturb the rhythm of the reliable team and that's where u will need
balanced squad. However, Most of u may not accept this but it is on the wall:
VV has realised that the senior players are working against him unfortunately
he got a back up plan for those who are working him out and now they are
jealous watching the young boys doing wonders for vv and they want to return cos
VV doesn't beg anyone.
Watch Jimmy Tau coming back with a strong performance cos he doesn't want the coach to fix his mind on Molekwane. Lets face it Makhosi, Katzande, Sweswe, Nengomasha, Jambo are not here play a spoiled brat but for real business... and the rest of the young team will do everything to be in the first team, a bench can be stressing which makes it Solid Back up for VV - be rest assured he will last the whole season...
