Telkom Knockout First Round

Who do you think your team will get in the Telkom Knockout first round draw on Monday, October 3? The top eight sides from last season will be in one pot, and the bottom eight sides in another.

Pot A: Orlando Pirates, Ajax Cape Town, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic, BidVest Wits, SuperSport United, Santos.

Pot B: Free State Stars, Platinum Stars, Lamontville Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United, Moroka Swallows, AmaZulu, Black Leopards, Jomo Cosmos.

Its going to be tough first round especially Chiefs, Sundowns and Pirates as they are the big three and their fans won’t like it if they get knocked out in the first round. All I want it’s the semifinals with the big three making it and maybe Ajax or Celtic as well in the semis.

It won't matter who poor Bidvest Wits FC get; we'll be getting our hindquarters kicked in the first round. I've never seen a less-ambitious football club in my life. It'll probably be an Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs final again. South African football for you - last season was absolutely blockbuster, but there's every sign this time around to suggest that we're right back where we've always been - boring league with three or four heavies and a dozen supporting acts with nothing to offer.
