A lot has happened during this season of the PSL. Some coaches were fired and rehired and some have been trusted by their respective boards and that have paid dividends.
You look at a coach like Ruud Krol who has been through hell and back with Orlando Pirates and the fans at some stage were calling for his head to be axed, but then the Orlando Pirates board excericised patience hence they look like they will eventually win the championship this season.
Orlando Pirates have played terrible football at times and they however managed to get crucial points from the terrible games they played, and if you didn't believe in that gorgeous fairy called luck then you better start believing it now because Pirates have been very lucky this season. This has been a very exciting PSL season due to the quality of games we've seen thus far. Who can forget the 4 all thriller between Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town?

2 Ajax Cape Town 27 17 5 5 46 29 17 56

4 Mamelodi Sundowns 26 16 3 7 45 23 22 51
Wondering what the table above is for? That's how things are standing at the top of the premiership table. Orlando Pirates is hanging on top through a goal difference rope. They are also walking on a tight rope as Ajax Cape Town won't make it easier for Pirates to win the league.
Ajax Cape Town have dished some legendary football of late. They have the makings of a championship winning side. They have very exciting young players that can compete at the highest level of football. They play as a unit and some individual brilliances has kept them on the chase for the premiership and sure if Pirates can win this one, they will sure have a sigh of relief as Ajax would've given them a run for their Rand...
I'm writing Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns off from winning the Premiership. Sundowns has failed dismally with a galaxy of stars they have in their team. A coach was fired because fans caused a little riot outside Super Stadium because of the unsatisfactory results that the team produced.
I wonder if having Gorowa as coach is really working for Sundowns as he has limited Matty Pattison to the bench trying to accomodate the primadonna Teko Modise.
That's how it stands at the top and if Orlando Pirates slip up then Ajax will be on top again and withonly a couple of games to go, any slip ups from the top two teams will mean loss of the premiership. Exciting times indeed.

15 MorokaSwallows 27 6 7 14 20 38 -18 25
16 Black Aces 27 4 3 20 18 48 -30 15
The relegation zone is also exciting as well. Who would've thought that Moroka Swallows would find themselves in a ditch like the one they are in right now. Swallows fighting it off in the play offs? Looks like it. If only they had a Gordon Igesund factor earlier in the season, then something could've given. They have extra ordinary talent in the likes of Siyabonga Nomvethe, Ritson and Keegan Ritchie. They have been beaten by everyone in the premiership and farewell to Black Aces farewell...
Top Scorers
Knowledge Musona - 13
Katlego Mphela - 12
Lehlohonolo Majoro - 11
Goal scoring has been too much of a problem in S.A soccer and its a factor that can't be denied. A lot of excuses have been given for not finding the back of the net, one of it being defensive tactics being adopted by the likes of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. 13 goals for a leading scorer when the season is at the brink then sure there is a far worse problem in our league and it needs to be fixed very quick.
All in all - its been a great season and may the best team lift the PSL Cup this season's end!
