Today, chief executive officer of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa Danny Jordaan reiterated that there will not be a single security breach or attack on any of the teams or their officials taking part in the tournament come next summer.
Speaking in London in the wake of heightened concern following the ambush in Pakistan of Sri Lanka's cricket team last week, the man who masterminded South Africa's successful bid said, "We've already had our security people working at the Germany World Cup, the Euro 2008 final and the Beijing Olympics.
"But over and above that we will have 41,000 extra police and, in total, 86,000 additional personnel on duty during the World Cup. There will be water cannons, police helicopters, surveillance cameras and regular dry runs of security in each of our host cities because this is an important issue for us."
Jordaan also pointed to South Africa's record of hosting major sporting events since independence in 1994. "If you look at our event experience we've hosted many including the rugby World Cup in 1995, the 2003 cricket World Cup and the Twenty20 World Cup in 2007. We have [teams] in and out of the country all the time — this year we have the British Lions tour and the Confederations Cup.
"There is societal crime and event security — these are two separate issues. The way to secure the event is to collect the maximum information. I know when the team is arriving, when it is training, where it is playing and I know when the fans are coming. If I have 100% of this information I can tell I can a guarantee it will be 100% safe. Our security plan has been tested over 15 years and from 22 major events there has not been a single security issue."

GOD DAMN FIFA
These people are far from the truth. First they denied us to play with them. Second they would not come to play on our soil. Third third they promised to play in our country in the last World Cup but changed minds lats seconds. Fourth it took Mandela to get them to play us who assured them he will expose them for not giving Africa a fair chance. Fith they complained about Vuvuzela. Fith they wanted SAFA elections posponed. Sixth they demand that either Danny or Irvin step down if they wants SAFA Presidency. This is deep right anoying to be dictated like this. Also we was told our coaches are not good enough and we were forced to kick Shakes bart off the bench, still non of these FIFA approved coaches make the grade. Explain six defeats in a row, that good for FIFA. I do not think FIFA wants to come and play. They are the once dividing the country in the middle and it is clear they have an agenda. Why not just make it easy for them and tell them to stay home. After all we have been playing by ourselves for years. When politics are spread in sports it defeats the purpose. Besides we aer still hurt from one of our athletes whose gender has been doubted recently by pretty much same neighbourhood. SAFA has done nothing wrong but play by constitution and since FIFA wants to be hire than SAFA constitution they have fabricated these unstopable elections.
I guess if both Danny and Irvin resign FAFI will expect SANTANA to fill in the gap. I have reprimanded all those who have been protesting and marching against this up coming world cup. Construction workers, taxi drivers and all kinds of organised labor unions found a nick picky reason to go on strike. Here comes FAFI pushing us to a mass rolling action.
It is very clear that we are a sub standard people. Every thing we do is not good enough, what ever we do must be aproved by other people. God please damn Fafi's racism.
