South
African football fans have been turning up the heat in the 2012 Carling Black
Label Cup campaign with 3-million votes cast in the past week! This brings the total votes to over
18-million.
With
the showpiece encounter between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs at Soccer on
July 28 drawing close, fans have been scrambling to get their favourites into
the starting line-ups of the Soweto giants.
One
major change from the previous week is the elevation of new Kaizer Chiefs
signing Siboniso Gaxa to the starting line-up, along with Tefu Mashamaite, who
replaces the injured Jimmy Tau.
But
while the starting line-ups take shape, fans must also keep in mind that they
will have the opportunity to vote for the first substitution for either side in
the match as well.
Supporters
will be able to vote for the first man off on either side during the opening
half of the game, with a maximum of two votes per fan.
They
can do this by dialing the toll free number *130*376# and selecting the team
they wish to choose a player to substitute from.
They
will then be asked to choose the position of the player – Goalkeeper, Defender,
Midfielder or Striker – and then the actual person they wish to remove from the
game.
If
supporters try to vote more than twice, they will receive a message telling
them that this is not possible.
The
first substitution for each team will be made at the 60-minute mark, with the
players to come in and out of the game to be decided by the regular coaches
after that – Augusto Palacios for Orlando Pirates and Stuart Baxter for Kaizer
Chiefs.
The
best way to make a call on who should be brought out of the game is to be at
the stadium, but that opportunity is fading fast for fans.
All
of the R40, R60 and R150 tickets have been sold-out; all that is left is
hospitality packages which are available at www.sail.co.za
And
aside from the great football action, there will also be top South African
entertainment on show as well, before and after the game.
Top

to get fans into the party vibe as the 2012 Carling Black Label Cup come alive
on match day!
