Pirates hopes raised, and Pirates faithful hopes...

Once upon a time there was a very respectable Coach at a team called Orlando Pirates FC. This Coach brought to the team what is called Total Football in Holland. Pirates were a force to reckon with.

The lads then did not just win games, they played football that most Coaches feared. For some reason most people thought the team will bring some silverware to the Ghost grave. Kaizer Chiefs snapped it away at the last minute.

The Pirates faithfuls hopes were dashed, leaving them with only tears and nothing more to show. More so that they lost it to Chips, as they prefer to call the Naturena side.

Then the next season. The same fighting spirit and good football prevailed. The boys kept the stands full of smiles and again, hope for the silverware was raised. It all seemed possible up until the last game. Then the same Chiefs stole it from them.

The Pirates faithfuls hopes were dashed, yet again, leaving them with only tears and nothing more to show. More so that they lost it to Chips, yet again, as they still prefer to call the Naturena side.

Now recently the team has started to show the glimpses of the Papic magic, and yet again the Pirates faithfuls hopes seem to have been raised. Most people are sure the boys will deliver as Miss K told me this morning.

It’s only a matter of time that we get to see what happens to the Pirates faithfuls hope this time around, and I hope and pray they are not dashed, not again, just for the sake of all the fans that for the past couple of years have only the Moqhaka Cup and Charity Spectacular to show.
