Truth be told

South Africa is a country well respected for its transition of power from the old Apartheid regime to the government of national unity. It was an African miracle, I am proud myself of what this country is all about, thanks to “Madiba Magic”, we truly deserved to host the 2010 World cup. It’s ours and we will do anything in our power to make it a success, not only for Mzansi but for the African Continent. We will continue to bring hope to Africa, From Cape to Cairo, Morocco to Madagascar.

Ok First and foremost, my deepest condolences to the Lekgetho family for the loss of one son of the soil, Jacob Lekgetho. In the same breath say we deeply hurt and saddened to hear of the death of Solly Letsena Phetla. We will never forget the contribution these soldiers had to our beloved game, and hopefully their souls Rest in peace. We know in them we have the great ancestors Of our Beautiful game.

There are things we need to look at. We more often try to be the people we not, just to be politically correct.

"We are the Rainbow nation”. This sounds good, but it’s not true. This country is still very much racially divided. Ask Mr. know it all, and everyone who attended the Manchester United Kaizer Chiefs Vodacom Final. Damn, what happened to the Vodacom Challenge that Connected the African Continent? I asked myself the very Question Mr Know it all asked in his very first article here, I quote, “Why all of a sudden did the whites and Indians realize they love soccer when Man U visited our shores?" This was to simply tell me that we are not a Rainbow nation.

Having said all this, I then realized that this is a reflection of “our world cup”. There were more Indians and Whites at the stadium than Chiefs supporters, who are predominantly black. The tickets were expensive. That’s why there were fewer black people at the stadium. The world cup tickets will be even more expensive, that lives me and you glued to our television screens. Thats harsh and politically incorrect but true.
