Chiefs VS Pirates: The fight for Mthembu to end

Written By Unknown on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 | Tuesday, August 26, 2008

The two powerhouse giants of Soweto; Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are in a bitter row over Siphelele Mthembu as each team claims he has signed with them. The tug-of-war between Chiefs and Pirates over Mthembu is likely to come to an end when the Premier Soccer League (PSL) makes its ruling next week Monday. However, it is also alleged that Mthembu first signed a pre-contract with Pirates while playing for Maritzburg City in the Vodacom League and then changed his mind and signed a three-year deal with Amakhosi.

The best thing they should do is allow the boy to play for the team of his chioce. Not team that Bongi Hlophe has connnection with OP that why he was so relucted in selling this player to chiefs. look at this Mabizela, Malinga,Tau all from Maritzburg City to Mayfair Hlophe didn't want to break the tradition and sell Sphelele to Chiefs.
