Ahead of Chile’s friendly
game against Germany this week, PUMA has launched the new official Chile home
and away playing kits for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The team will wear the new kit on pitch this Wednesday when they play against Germany in Munich.

The new kits feature PUMA’s
new football apparel innovation PWR ACTV, a first-to-market use of both
athletic taping and compression within the apparel.
The ACTV tape is strategically placed within the garment to provide micro-massages on the skin, working with the human body to help maximise performance and provide players with a faster, more effective energy supply to the active muscles.
This combined with the underarm mesh inserts for increased breathability and freedom of movement, will help Chile have a competitive advantage at this year’s World Cup.

The design of the home
shirt pays homage to Chilean patriotism through design features including “Puro,
Chile, es tu cielo azulado” (the first line of Chile’s national anthem) being
printed on the inside of the neck and the Chilean national flag that is printed
on the nape of the shirt. The design of the collar is inspired from Chilean
heritage football shirts.
PUMA player Marcos González
and Chile National Team defender said, “This is the first time we will wear a
shirt that has the new PUMA PWR ACTV technology incorporated into the inside of
the shirt and I’m looking forward to wearing something that will help us
perform."
"Our new kit looks good and with the added technical features we will go on pitch with the confidence that we can perform to our best. The group stage is going to be a challenge as we have the title holders Spain in our group, but we are ready to take them on and make Chile proud.”

The PUMA PWR ACTV football performance apparel collection featuring the same ACTV technology as the national playing kits is available to purchase now.
