Kaizer Chiefs succumbed to Club AS Vita mind games

Kaizer Chiefs dominated the game but failed to break through the wall of Club AS Vita Club who lacked quality and tactical organisation.

They came here to defend the 3 goals by deploying dirty ultra-defensive tactics which is a reason our continental football is still backward due to greedy style of play.

Chiefs lacked sense of urgency by keeping position unnecessary instead of pushing more players in the box in the 89 minutes of the game. It was disappointing witnessed Chiefs defence keeping position without any Club AS Vita Club players around them.

I enjoy North African teams with open style of play than West and Central African teams with ultra-defensive tactics and mind game.

Club AS Vita Club played mind game without adhering to FIFA fair play principle. The referee was too soft to punish them. The goalkeeper of Club AS Vita Club, Nguemba Lomboto, spent more than 10 seconds without kicking the ball but never punished by the referee.

Sorry Makhosi!
