Bidvest Wits came back from one goal down to beat Mamelodi
Sundowns 3-1. Wits conceded an early
goal within five minutes of the first half from Dove Wome.
However, Sthembiso Ngcobo scored on the 37 minutes to level
the score after a well taken cross by the young Tebogo Moerane.
Wits took a lead in the second half from Matthew Booth 52 minutes header and later Calvin Kadi scored the third goal in the 65 minutes to take Wits to the 3rd spot in the log with 34 points but behind Sundowns by goal differences with a game in hand.

The coach of Wits Gavin Hunt was delighted with his boys
fighting spirit and comeback but worried with the sloppy start in the first few
minutes of the game.
“We were sloppy at the beginning… we look off the pace after
10 and 15 minutes of the game but we change the shape of the team to look much
better. We had a lot of players in the middle of the pitch but we couldn’t get
close to them especial in the first 10 minutes of the game but we were much
better in the second half… we real made great chances to score.”
The coach Gavin Hunt also praised the exceptional performance
from his two talented youngsters in the team.
The young left back Tebogo Moerane was very fantastic in his
debut… my other kid Phumlani Ntshangase was also fantastic... these kids have
great future.
The coach Hunt was happy with overall performance despite
conceding an early goal.
