Rosina Sedibane Modiba Sports School and Kakamas High School through to the 2013 COPA Coca-Cola National Finals

Rosina Sedibane Modiba Sports School and Kakamas High School will contest the final of the 2013 COPA Coca-Cola U-15 National Finals at the Seawinds Sports Ground in Vreygrond, Cape Town tomorrow.

Rosina Sedibane, who hails from Gauteng, produced an outstanding performance to win their semi-final over Mpumalanga representatives, Tikhontele Secondary School  5-0.  Meanwhile, Kakamas High School from Northern Cape, had to work a lot harder before overcoming Eastern Cape newcomers, Charles Morgan Senior Secondary School with 3-2 on penalties after they were locked at 1-1 at full time.

Present at the games was SASFA President Mr Mandla “Shoes” Mazibuko, who applauded the boys for reaching the finals. “Congratulations to the two finalists who have shown themselves worthy to reach the pinnacle. We anticipate an exciting clash in front of a bumper crowd.  The boys have everything to play for, with the added incentive of a trip to Brazil to drive them on,” said Mazibuko.

The final will kick off is scheduled for 11:00 and promises to be a close affair, with both teams bringing an impressive pedigree of success into the match.

Coca-Cola will then announce the four players who will represent South Africa at the COPA International Camp, scheduled for Brazil in June 2014.
