For
the very first time, adidas is sharing its historic archive with the world.
Products previously hidden away, only touched by a few special authorized
people wearing white gloves and steeped in sporting history are now gathered
together, waiting for you to discover at www.adidas-archive.org
Once
you venture into the site, you will discover access to a wealth of information
including stories behind the products, images of autographed shoes and
prototypes, retro commercials, catalogues from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s as well as
mini documentaries explaining key technologies.
If
a guided tour is what you are after, check out some of our great adidas legends
from Tennis star Stan Smith to Zinedine Zidane or Jeremy Scott in the Heroes
section who can walk you through their favourite products and stories. There is
also an interactive exhibition builder which allows you to group together all
your favorite bits and share on Facebook, Twitter or Google+.
This
unseen collection currently features over 600 products, 200 catalogues and
videos and this is only the beginning: with the ambition to have over twice the
amount of products featured by the end of 2013, adding more content monthly, a
new visit will always bring some great surprises.
